Hi, there! :)

Well, today was Easter, and, I'd have to say, I had a pretty good day. I ate chocolate bunnies and kisses, had salmon and rice and asparagus for dinner, blew bubbles and flew kites, and just relaxed,(plus a whole bunch of other stuff). I hope all of your Easter's were good as well. I've got a few random drawings to show you. ;) Here they are, in no particular order.

Well, this one (above) is my Easter picture (I thought it fitting to put that one first, because... yeah. It's Easter.) It's my character, Camille. She's basically smiling at you and holding her Easter presents her step-mom got her. :) I luuuuurve her bunny ears. 8D

This one was born out of boredness. I had nothing to draw one day, so I asked my sister if I could draw her. She requested the expression. ;)

This one is my character, Selena Aiko, and Will Solace, from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Aww. Selena's so adorable when she's blushing. And I like the reassuring expression on Will's face too.

This is Selena and Will again. This time, they're dancing. Sophie (sis) was playing Just dance 2 on the wii, and this was one of the songs. This idea just randomly popped into my head. :)

And, last , but certainly not least, this guy here is Edward Elric from the anime show, 'Fullmetal Alchemist. yes, he has a metal arm. Long story. :) he looks so cool, whipping his coat around like that oh-so-epically. :)

Hello, everybody! :)

Boy, I haven't talked to you guys in a while! I've been super busy, and I've most certainly been neglecting my blog. But, I'm back, now! I'll be posting more of my drawings and thoughts here, and maybe the occasional card. To start you guys off, here's something I did a while back, titled 'A Midday Nap'.

It's of one of my characters, named Camille. She's a tiny little thing, and has a habit of falling asleep oh-so-adorably in the grass on lazy Saturday afternoons.

I colored this one with Prismacolor markers. Took me about two hours from start to finish.

Hello, Everyone!

Sorry I've been away so long! I've been really busy with school and drawing and other things, I haven't had time to make a card! But I made one Sunday for the Arkansas District Fair, and I wanted to make more! The card I entered in the fair won First Place! I was so excited. I'll post a pic of that one soon.

So, anyway, this is my card for Whiff of Joy this week, which is a Thanksgiving or a Thank you theme. I thought the little turkey was just perfect for Thanksgiving! We also had some awesome fall paper to go with it.

So, this is my card for Whiff of Joy. They have a awesome sketch this week!

I used some new paper from Hobby Lobby. I'd been waiting to use that black & white paper! We also haven't been using our Little Nurse stamp much, so I thought I'd use her this time! Turned out pretty cute!

My Card for Charisma Cardz and a Stair Step Card Tutorial!

Hey, Guys!

Okay. So here's a tutorial for a Stair Step card. I hope you like it.

I'm also entering this in the Charisma Cardz challenge, which is Metal. My metal object is the butterfly charm.

Well, here's the tutorial!

You will need:

A paper cutter

A scoring board

Two 12 x 12 sheets of patterned paper.

One 12 x 12 sheet of white cardstock.

A ruler (Optional. You could use the ruler on your paper cutter if you wanted.)

Some type of adhesive. (I used Mounting Squares, Dimensional Dots, and Glue Dots)

Embellishments of your choice. (I used ribbon, Stick on Pearls, a leaf punch, mulberry paper flowers, and a metal butterfly charm.)

Two stamps, stamped and colored.

Okay, now that the supplies are taken care of, let's get started!!!!!

First, take the white cardstock, and cut it down to 11 5/8 " x 8 1/4 " I forgot to take a picture of this step. DX

Next, score the cardstock on the scoring board at 1 ", 2" 4", 5 7/8", and 8 3/4". It should look like that. ---^

This step was probably the hardest for me. Fold it accordion style at the score marks. Up, down, up. down.

Now, take one of the sheets of patterned paper, and cut a strip 7/8" x 8 1/8"

This one will go on the bottom fold.

Cut the second strip 1 7/8" x 8 1/8"

This one will go second.

Cut the third strip 2 5/8" x 8 1/8"

Now for the last one. This one will go on top of the third one. Cut it 4 1/2" x 6"

Okay. Now for the mats on top. Cut this first one 6/8" x 8"

Cut the second one 1 6/8" x 8"

Now cut this one 2 5/8" x 8"

Now cut the last one 4 3/8" 5 7/8

Now mat them using the mounting squares.

Now that we have the measurements mapped out, you can use the embellishments. I used the ribbon on the bottom...

The metal butterfly on the second paper. I put a stick on pearl on the butterfly, too.

I put the stamp on the second paper, also. I popped it with the Dimensional dots.

Here's a close up.

Here's the second stamp which is going to go on the top paper.

The mulberry paper flowers are also going to go on the top paper. I also put the stick on jewels on the end of the leaves.

Like so! This step might have been a little confusing. This paper is going to go on top of the other top paper.

Now, tape the papers to the white cardstock. There's a flap in the back that will hold it up.

Okay. This is my card for Color Throwdown!

I am getting it in a little late, but I think I'll still make it! Isn't the layout awesome?

Speaking of layouts, this one is called a Stair Step. I'll be putting up a tutorial on how to make one soon. I got it from a wonderful card a lady sent us, for a blog my mom is doing. I kind of took the measurements and tried to duplicate it. Some of the papers aren't cut quite straight. I always get so frustrated because it's hard for me to cut things straight, but other than that, I think I did an okay job!

The beautiful papers are from some blog candy I won in the Operation Write Home blog hop, and the stamp is Magnolia.

So, here's my card for the Fussy and Fancy challenge. They're having a Design Team call! The theme was Monochromatic and Things with Wings. I found this cool color chooser and chose a pale gold, and it came up with all these colors that are monochromatic:

So, I tried my best to use all these colors in my card. I think it turned out pretty well! My mom made a card for Fussy and Fancy too, using the same color picker that I did. Here's her blog, and here's the picker that we used.

Okay, sorry it was a while since I put up a card. I was in Florida for a wedding!

This is my card for five challenges:

Corrosive Challenge: Die Cuts. (The circle and the scalloped circle were Nesties, and the pink edge was a Martha Stewart punch.)

Charisma: Flowers.

Sketch Saturday: Sketch

Simon Says Stamp: 1 image. 2 patterned papers. (Even though you can barely see it, the scalloped edge along the sentiment is a pattered paper. Does that qualify?) 3 embellishments. (Flowers, Charm, and Pearl jewels.)

Pollycraft: Ribbon and Bling.

It'd been a while since I'd used the Kneeling Willow stamp, so I thought I'd get her out again.

My Card for Crafty Creations Challenge.

So, this is my card for a great new challenge I found, called Crafty Creations. The challenge this week is:

Use your Favorite Stamp.

Well, my mom just ordered these new Magnolia stamps, and I reeeeeealy liked them! They are my favorites stamps, at the moment. :-)

Yesterday, my mom and I went on a shopping spree to Hobby Lobby to pick out some new paper, so this is some of the paper I picked. I thought it was really cute, and I loved the blue and orange combo.

We also got some new flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts in the mail yesterday, so I used them, too.

I used Glimmer Mist in Wheatfields on the flowers. (I don't know if you can see it or not.)

I colored Princess Tilda and Pirate Edwin with Copics, and the punch is a Martha Stewart punch.

Well, that wraps it up! It was fun to make.

My Card for Create4fun

I'm really sorry for not putting up any cards. :-(. I've been awfully busy.

Anyways, this is a recipe book that I've made for Create4Fun. I'm going to a wedding next week and I've made this as a wedding present! I got this idea from Gio, at the Whiff of Joy Tutorial Blog

Create4Fun is Vintage.

So, above is the front cover, and below is a closeup of the stamp I used, Willow with Chicken Soup from WOJ. Cute! I colored her with my Copics. Here's a list of the the colors I used.

Hair: E31 and E33.

Shirt: E29 and E37.

Apron: YG95 and YG97.

Pants: YR00

Pot: E13 and E15

Cloth under pot: E29

Smoke: C1 and C3.

Barret, Apron tie, and shoes: R85

This is a picture of the first two pages, the Main Dish section. There is a recipe on the white side, and there's a pocket to put other recipe cards in on the other side.

Here's a closeup of the recipe. It's one of my favorites and is wonderful. :-)

I used the Christmas Swirls set from WOJ, and I stamped them with distress ink in Walnut Stain. I also used Walnut stain for the distressing around the side.

This is the Vegetable and Side dish section

Jalapeño Corn Casserole is one of my favorite dishes. We have it at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other big dinners. I stamped the swirls with distress ink in Peeled Paint. (I think that's the name?)

Here's the Breakfast section.

This cinnamon roll recipe is my favorite.

The dessert section.

I really like this chocolate sheet cake, and it's really quick and easy.

Here's the holiday section.

This ham is really good for Christmas and Easter, and you pass a pineapple sauce with it. Yum!

Well, that's it! Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the back cover, but the paper is green card stock. :-(

I used a stamp from the brand-new WOJ Scheherazade stamp set that we got in the mail on Monday! Awesome! She turned out really cute! I'd just learned how to color black hair with Copics, so it was a little bit hard for me.

I made my own flowers, and the papers and jewel pearls are from Hobby Lobby.

My Card For 4 Challenges.

Hello, everyone!

So, I've been sick with allergies and a small cold, but I've been making cards to help lift my spirits. :)

Whiff of Joy this week had a wonderful idea; to make a money holder card. It was very cute, so I tried it!

This is also my strange take on a Christmas card. lol.

I colored her with Copics in BV02, B02, and G12. For her hair and the sled, I used E29, 37, 15, and 13.

I made a mini CrissCross Pocket card on the inside for the money holder part.

And I wrote the sentiment myself. I used Spare Parts brads and Prima Flowers on the front of my card, like usual. I'm entering it in:

Copic Color Challenge: BV02. YG03 (I used the closest I had, G12) and B02.

Hey, Everyone!
So, my mom showed me a video on the Whiff of Joy Tutorial blog; How to make a CrissCross Pocket card, by Jeanette Comerford. It was sooo cute and easy to make, I just had to try it Here's what I came up with:

I used my new Birdie Love set again, for both the inside and outside. I colored her with Copics and I used Prima Flowers, as usual. I also used papers from my mom's Secret Stash, (An assortment of papers in a secret place so my sister and brother can't find them.) which we got from Hobby Lobby.

I'm also entering this in Crafty Angels, my favorite things this week. Right now, my new stamp set is my favorite thing!!
I really love this layout! Thanks soooooo much, Jeanette! It's lovely.

Soo... I have some reallllllly big news!

I sent in a card to a lady on Youtube. She's an actress living near LA, California, makes funny videos, and has lots of Youtube followers.

Her names is Olga Kay, and she has a special show that she puts out every month, where people send her questions, drawings, gifts, and, in my case, handmade cards.

I sent my card in to her last month, and, last Wendsday... *Drumroll* she featured it in her video! I was completely overjoyed!

Okay, sorry I haven't been posting lately. I was waiting for a new stamp!

It's First Kiss from Sarah Kay.

Simon Say Stamp is a Photo Inspration, and this challenge was particularly hard for me because the picture was of a rose, and our paper and flower stash doesn't include many things with roses on them, but I did the best I could.

I love this stamp! I just can't get over how cute it is! :-) I'd seen other people use it, so I thought I might just try it out, and boy, am I glad!

Hey Guys!

So this time I tried 2 new techniques

New technique #1: I tried a new layout, It's an easel layout. Some of you have probably heard about it already, but it was a first time for me!

New technique #2: I've just gotten into quilling! I made the red flower and the embellishment with the pink ribbon. I'm also thinking about selling my quilling as embellishments!

I'm entering this card in Simon Says Stamp Challenge, and the Simon Says Stamp DT call. The Challenge is Punch It! I used a punch to make the leaves above the sentiment, and a punch to make the scalloped border on the card.

Here's my story:

Willow and Oakley’s Vignette
The Thought That Counts
Oakley woke up, He sat up, looked around at the blue walls of his room; then he glanced at the green alarm clock that sat on his bedside table. It was two-thirty in the afternoon. He had gone to sleep at one o’ clock. Even though Oakley was nine and not little anymore, he did not take naps because he had to, but instead, because he wanted to. He was the only one in his family who did this. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, swung his legs around, stood up and raced out of his small bedroom, down the hall and down the spiral staircase. When he got to the bottom of the staircase, he saw his mother in the small kitchen starting dinner. He expected his twin sister, Willow, to be sitting at the kitchen table, reading a book, drinking a glass of milk, and eating a cookie, maybe. But today she was nowhere in sight.
“Mother?” asked Oakley, “Where’s Willow?”
“I think she went out to the meadow.” Oakley’s mother said with a smile.
Oakley thanked his mother and dashed out the door.
Oakley and Willow’s house had a huge yard, and across that yard was a meadow with wild flowers, Oakley knew that the meadow was one of Willow’s favorite places. She went there often to pick the flowers; when she was sad or confused. It was a cool spring day, and the trees were green. Oakley raced across the yard and skidded to a stop at the beginning of the meadow. He looked as far as his eyes could see, and he saw a figure, far away at the end of the meadow. It was Willow. He walked slowly toward her, enjoying the sweet-smelling breeze, and marveling at the arrangement of colors. There were yellows, reds, purples, oranges, pinks, and blues--every color you could think of-- scattered everywhere, but strangely organized. When he came to where Willow was kneeling, he tried to be quiet, so not to disturb the complicated thought process he was sure her brain was going through right now.
“Willow?” he asked, in barely more than a whisper. Willow turned her head to look at him. “Hi Oakley,” she answered. Her long blond hair blew in the breeze. She was wearing a long red dress with robin’s egg blue sleeves. She held a couple of daisies in her hand.
“What’s wrong?” Oakley asked. “Nothing.” Willow replied, but Oakley knew she was lying.
“Willow,” Oakley protested, “you can’t fool me. Please tell me.”
Willow shook her head no, and then looked up at her brother. He was starting to pout, and she knew that if she resisted much longer, Oakley would start to cry. He had a convenient way of getting exactly what he wanted, a feature that Willow just did not possess. No matter how hard she tried, she always ended up getting in trouble and making a fool of herself.
“Ok, I’ll tell you,” Willow said, “I heard from Father a few days ago that they were going to turn this meadow, my meadow, into property to build more houses on.” Oakley saw a tear run down Willow’s cheek, and he understood. “That means they’ll mow all the flowers down?” he asked. Willow nodded. Oakley felt sad for Willow; he kneeled down and hugged her. When he stood up, an idea came to him. “Willow?” he asked. Willow looked up to show that she was listening. “Pick your favorite flower, and make sure to get the roots with it, and also make sure that it’s the kind that will grow back every year; I’ll be right back.” Oakley ran back to the house and around to his father’s shed. He unlocked the door and stepped in. He looked all around and his eyes locked on a small, empty terracotta flowerpot on the top shelf. He dragged his father’s heavy wooden stool from a corner, and set it down under the place where the flowerpot was. He climbed on the stool and stood on his tiptoes to reach the pot. He grabbed it and stepped off the stool. He put the stool back in the corner and grabbed his father’s spade that was lying on the workbench, dipped the spade into the burlap bag of soil and dumped it into the flowerpot. He grabbed an empty water can and ran outside with the flowerpot and the spade in his hand. He closed locked the shed’s door and ran to fill the water can. He ran to the hose and turned the handle. Cold water gushed out. He put the can under the hose until the can was full, turned off the water, and ran back to the meadow, careful not to spill the water. When he got there, Willow was standing at the edge holding a cluster of pale blue forget-me-nots, the same color as her eyes. “Ok!” Oakley said, out of breath. “Put them right in here.” Willow set the flowers gently down into the pot, and Oakley put more dirt over them, poured the cold water around them, and gave to pot to Willow.
“Thank you, Oakley,” Willow said. “It’s not a whole meadow, but it’s the thought that counts.” she finished with a smile.
And together, side by side, brother and sister walked back to their house.

My Gymnastics Competition Scores!

Hey guys! I had a great gymnastics meet yesterday! the Blues and BBQ invitational!
Here were my scores and places, (by the way, they only announced seven places, even though there were eleven people in my group, so I didn't place in everything, and I'm in level 5)
Vault: 8.150 out of 10.00.
Place: 7th out of 7 (I'm actually just happy I placed at all so I really didn't mind getting last:-)

Bars: 6.900 out of 10.00 (I'd say bars is my weakest event so I didn't do too well on it plus it was my first six EVER)
Place: 9th, (they still told me my place even though I didn't get on the podium)

Beam: 9.100 out of 10.00 (wow! first nine in level 5! yay!)
Place: 2nd! (woooohoooo!)

Floor: 8.200, (best floor score in level 5)
Place: 9th (still not on the podium)

All-Around: 32.350 (all my scores combined together,)
Place: 8th,

so yeah! all over a pretty good meet! especially on beam!
(by the way, I'm writing vignettes about the WOJ stamps, like what they would be like it they were people, I'll have my first one up later tomorrow!
